Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)

soto

The sacro occipital technique (SOT) is a comprehensive, gentle, and innovative chiropractic technique that focuses on the relationship between the sacrum (base of the spine or tailbone) and the occiput (base of the skull). Dr Misha Del Rae uses this technique to balance the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, ensuring a well-functioning nervous system. SOT is an excellent treatment option for those worried about chiropractic treatments hurting.

SOT was founded in 1925, by M.B. De Jarnette. Dr De Jarnette was born in Missouri in 1899. He graduated from Nebraska College of Chiropractic in 1924. Dr De Jarnette was a prolific researcher and authored over one hundred books.

SOT is one of the more gentle chiropractic techniques, it's focus is restoring and ensuring optimum Nervous System function. It is a most powerful Chiropractic system of detection and correction of Nerve System interference.

Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET)

Neuro Emotional Technique (NET) is a holistic mind and body approach that identifies internal stressors linked to physical conditions and aims to relieve these stressors. This technique acknowledges the connection between emotional and physical health. By acknowledging that past traumas or emotional events can manifest as physical symptoms, Dr Misha uses NET to identify these stressors and applies specific chiropractic adjustments alongside emotional reflex points.

While NET explores the connection between psychological stressors and physical health, it’s not a counselling session. Rather, it is aimed at removing any blockers that may impede the body’s natural healing abilities. The expected outcome for patients is relief from physical symptoms and an improvement in emotional well-being, leading to a more balanced state of health.

Total Body Modification (TBM)

Total Body Modification (TBM) is a holistic approach that views the body as an interconnected system. As such, Dr Misha uses TBM to address imbalances to improve overall health. This technique involves identifying and fixing imbalances within the body’s systems, from the nervous system to hormonal imbalances. Misha uses specific chiropractic adjustments and muscle testing as part of a TBM treatment session.

TBM recognises that the human body has its own built-in healing abilities and taps into these to improve bodily functions and overall vitality. By stimulating specific areas, damaged neurons in the brain are repolarised, giving the brain more control over that part of the body. Patients can expect outcomes like increased energy levels, better immune response, and a general sense of wellness.

Gentle Chiropractic Treatment Using Activator Methods

This unique method is a low-force chiropractic technique that uses a hand held adjusting instrument. The activator instrument provides a controlled, fast thrust that is comfortable for the patient. It’s particularly beneficial for those who may be sensitive to traditional manual adjustments and is often very useful in treating back and neck pain. Part of the appeal is that the technique is extremely quick. The muscles don’t have time to tense themselves in preparation, and therefore, there is virtually no resistance to the treatment.

As an experienced activator chiropractor, Dr Misha Del Rae tailors this treatment to your individual needs. Patients often report instant relief from pain, improved mobility, and overall well-being.

Foot Levellers

Foot levellers are custom-made orthotics designed to stabilise the foundation of the pelvis and spine. Foot levellers can also be used to improve a range of foot and ankle conditions, but many people neglect the benefits for other parts of the body. By specifically addressing imbalances in the feet with individually tailored foot levellers, Misha aims to improve the body’s structural integrity.

Many patients experience reduced pain, especially in the lower back, as well as greater postural stability and an increased range of movement. The feet are often considered to be the body’s foundation, so if you experience lower back pain, poor posture or other structural issues, Dr Misha will explore whether corrections can be made using foot levellers.
